Product Owner is responsible for the overall success of the digital product within the CPS digital suite of tools. The role includes managing each of these steps:
Market assessment & validation for revenue (direct or indirect)
Product vision and validation from the market
Launch of the product into the market
Go to Market strategy
Sales
Product iterations aligned to market needs
End of life of product
Responsibilities
Conduct user research and usability studies; evaluate, analyze, and understand the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources that shapes the product to be aligned to market needs
Create the product vision through tools and templates such a PRD, screenshots of similar concepts, functional requirements, user personas and other methods that clear communicates the product vision to the technical development team
Responsible for the end to end digital product lifecycle management
If the product has a direct revenue aspect, then the role is also responsible for defining the budget, timing of revenue, and actual realized revenue across CPS – the products financial performance.
Provide cross-functional leadership as needed for the commercial aspects of the product (education to account teams, operational needs (for direct revenue products), technical services (GTS) support and other cross functional teams that are needed for the success of the product.
Manage the product’s business performance to identify improvement areas for adoption of the product into the market
Define the revenue model(s) that align to market use cases
In conjunction with the product development team, create the product roadmap with delivery dates
Define the marketing strategies for the product either alone or with support of M&S function
With global and regional commercial teams, design and execute marketing events and campaigns to promote the digital products and services.
Remain abreast of the latest industry trends and technology, as well as monitor and benchmark on competing products in the market to sustain our product’s competitive advantage.
Lead market research, validation, and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities for product features and functionalities.
Meet with clients and other key stakeholders / listen to and understand customer feedback, and respond to product suggestions – directly and through the client facing teams across CPS
Support the sales team and key account management to monetize the digital products by providing product information and demos
Accountable for the product support and the customer success management in the respective region.
Manage the GTM readiness checklist to remove unforeseen barriers
Communicate the progress of the product journey (vision, GTM, sales) and the barriers associated through clear and repeatable formats that are used across the digital product owner teams.
The Product Owner Role does not have direct responsibilities in the below, however may be asked to support at the discretion of the responsible party.
Not responsible for the technical design or development work
Not responsible for managing the development tool set such as Jira, Azure, AWS or others that are used primarily in the technical development.
Compensation Range: $110,000 – $130,000 annually (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
